Asa Bean/Foster Glade Trailhead

One mile north of Covelo on 162, turn right onto 162 East. Travel approximately nine miles to the Eel River Bridge. After you cross the, turn left onto M1/Indian Dick road. Follow this road approximately 25 miles to the railroad tie fence. The trail goes down to the river. At the river you have to travel approximately 150 yards down river to find the trail again which goes up to Asa Bean Flat. Asa Bean Flat is the Junction of the Hotel Camp Trail which gives access to the Castle Peak area. This trail is poorly marked.
